Welcome to Part 5 of our 2023 Fundraising Story.

Can you find three friends to get involved?

If you like the idea of this, our final request is to ask you to find 3 people you know to get involved and donate as well.

Any, and all additional donors help us reach our goal of 2,000.

Or ask them to volunteer their time.

Cathy McGowan OAM, former Indi community independent MP, links volunteer numbers to votes – 1 volunteer secures around 50 first votes. In 2022, we had 400 volunteers three weeks before election day, and Nicolette secured 20,000 votes. That’s a fair demonstration of Cathy’s formula. Please consider:

  • Donating
  • Volunteering
  • Spreading the word

Any help you can offer is appreciated, whether it’s funds that you can spare, your precious time and talents or letting your like-minded friends know that Bradfield has a real choice at the next federal election. It’s a choice that’s served to us by our community, not by parties.

Vote 1 – BOELE, Nicolette

Better Is Possible

Below is Nicolette’s post to launch this campaign.  See her op-ed here and please see more info on this fundraising and consider donating here. You can also listen to her in conversation with Margo Kingston, host of the No Fibs podcast, about political campaign finance here.

Thank you for your on-going support, in whatever way you can.

@Nicolette_Boele Twitter Post 28 April 2023: The ALP has been in Gov nearly a year; we've had some wins on #integrity, #climate & #gambling, but not enough. When you follow the $$$, it helps explain why. That's why I'm trying a new way of raising political campaign funds. Asking people, not corporates to fund me.  You can read my op ed here: And if you’re up for helping reform political campaign finance, please donate - it feels nearly as good as giving blood. Try it!

Before you donate, please read

Even though a federal election (or a by-election!) has not been called, the laws applying to political campaigns still apply. More information is here. The AEC website always has the latest information here. Nicolette’s own policy is to declare donations (donor name and amount) over $1,500 in aggregate over the financial year; also she does not accept donations from non-human entities that are operated for profit alone
