NDIS

The NDIS has transformed lives, but mismanagement and inefficiencies threaten its future. We must strike the right balance between ensuring cost-effective services and preventing waste while maintaining a focus on the people who rely on it. I support reforms that improve transparency, crack down on misuse, and ensure funding reaches those who need it most. Proper oversight, stronger protections against fraud, and fair funding for providers are essential to keep the NDIS working for Australians with disabilities.

Where I've focused

Nothing about us without us. People with disability should be consulted properly on the changes that affect them, not told about them afterwards. I've pushed for stronger consultation requirements in NDIS decision-making.

Reforms that shift costs rather than solve them. When supports are cut, the cost doesn't disappear. It moves to families, to hospitals, to schools. I've asked in Parliament who pays when NDIS support is withdrawn.

Protecting scheme growth. With crossbench colleagues, I warned the Government against slashing NDIS growth in the Budget.

Thriving Kids. I surveyed our community about the Thriving Kids rollout and published the results. Families in Bradfield told me they were feeling real fear and frustration about what it means for their children, and I've taken that to Canberra.

Provider pricing. I wrote to the Minister on the NDIS Annual Pricing Review. Provider viability determines whether participants can actually access the supports they're funded for.

Below you'll find the work I've been doing on the NDIS — in Parliament, in the media, and here in Bradfield.
