Team Nic uses Slack for real-time volunteer communications and collaboration. It's a free messaging app where you can come to see what’s going on, and share thoughts and suggestions.
Slack gives you a place to connect with the campaign team and fellow Team Nic volunteers as frequently as you’d like. You control the notifications about new messages and decide what alerts you want.
This session will:
- Provide an overview of Slack, including the themed channels we've created to streamline conversations
- Explain how to post in Slack and reply to people's posts
- Suggest how to set up notifications so that you're alerted to messages about topics that interest you (and not spammed with unnecessary alerts!)
Bring your fully charged phone as this is a hands-on session.
